Will homeopathy work if I am taking conventional medicine?

Yes. Homeopathic medicines can be taken alongside conventional medicine. This may be particularly necessary in long-standing illnesses, in emergency situations, or when surgical intervention is needed. Homeopathy can also work well with mainstream medicine at times, especially in palliative care or recovery from surgery. However, it is essential that your homeopath is aware of any conventional medication you take, whether prescribed by a doctor or bought over the counter, including vitamins, supplements, and medicines taken for even minor complaints (oral or topical). This is very important, especially so as some drugs such as antibiotics or camphor based ointments can antidote the homeopathic remedy and therefore delay successful treatment.

NO RESPONSIBLE HOMEOPATH WILL ASK YOU TO COME OFF YOUR CONVENTIONAL MEDICATION WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH YOUR DOCTOR.
