How long treatment takes depends on how chronic (long lasting) the illness has existed. Someone who has had a chronic problem for a long time, could take several months or longer to regain health. Acute illness, such as food poisoning, injuries, burns etc. may be helped within a few hours or even within seconds.
In regards to how many appointments are needed, the following generally applies, though may vary depending on the condition being treated and vitality of the patient:
In acute treatment, usually only one appointment is necessary. A follow-up is made after 24-48 hours. A final follow-up may be made after a further 48 hours if deemed necessary. The cost for the initial acute appointment and subsequent follow-up appointments are all included in the initial fee. Acute follow-ups are usually made by phone or email, though the former is preferable.
During constitutional treatment, and after the initial consultation, follow-up appointments are usually made every month for the first 3 months, then after 3 months, then every 6 months thereafter. Again, it is important to note that this may vary according to the condition being treated. In constitutional treatment, fees are separate for each appointment. Please refer to the Consultation & Fees page.
